Mission Statement

To reduce the number of homeless pets by providing high quality, affordable spay and neuter services.

History

  • AnimalWorks was founded in 2001 as a 501©(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to offering affordable high quality spay and neuter services to the community. From 2001 to 2011 AnimalWorks also served as an adoption center, placing more than 5,500 cats and dogs into loving homes. In 2011, AnimalWorks re-focused their core mission entirely on providing spay-neuter services to the community. AnimaWorks has performed over 35,000 spay-neuter surgeries to date.
  • AnimalWorks is the only spay-neuter clinic located in Alcoa, Tennessee,(Blount County). There are no residency requirements or income restrictions for clientele.
  • AnimalWorks has received grant funding from The Charles and Sue Fouche Foundation, Animal Friendly License Plate Grant PetsMart Charities, Build- A-Bear, and Scripps Howard. With this funding we have been able to offset costs for low-income families who cannot afford services.
